Business Unit Definition Page

The Business Unit Definition page appears when you click the New button on the Business Unit Listing page. This page allows you to define the departments, divisions, or other type of organizational areas within the business in the context of document management.

Business Units are informational only showing the responsible unit for the various document classes.

Creating a New Business Unit Definition

Perform the following steps to create a new business unit definition.

  1. Navigate to the Business Unit Listing page by selecting Store Management>Document Management>Business Units.
  2. Type the name of the business unit you want to create in the Unit Name field.
  3. If you want to assign a parent unit to this definition, select it in the Parent Unit drop-down menu, otherwise leave the (none) option selected.
  4. Click Save to save the business unit definition.
