Document Category Definition Page

The Document Category Definition page allows you to define document categories for the documents you post to your KommerceServer system. Document categories are useful for organizing documents around a common theme such as a particular product line or industry served (electrical, plumbing, etc.). You can navigate to the Document Category Definition page by selecting Store Management>Document Management>Categories. Following is an example of the Document Category Definition page.

Creating a New Document Category Definition

Perform the following steps to create a new document category definition.

  1. Navigate to the Document Category Definition page by selecting Store Management>Document Management>Categories. The Document Management Category Definition page appears.
  2. Enter a category code into the Category Code field. This will be an internal name that you choose for the category definition you are creating.
  3. Enter a category name in the Category Name field.
  4. Click Save to save your document category definition.
