As part of the pricing system, the price basis for calculation can be redirected to use the item category basis as opposed to the local basis code stored with the price adjustment (matrix) records. See KS_PRICE_ADJS export specification.

Override Basis Code

Used in conjunction with the field above. The pricing system uses the local basis code to lookup by item category the price adjustment basis code and use the corresponding override basis code. (Eclipse)
