KT.RESIZE

Syntax

KT.RESIZE file.name | * {CONCURRENT} {(S}

Description

This program can be used to resize a Kourier application file.  You should run this command as part of your normal file maintenace activities because:

Options

file.name The name of Kourier application file or "*" to resize all Kourier application files.
CONCURRENT An optional parameter that allows for the resizing of a file when users are on the system.  This option is only supported on UNIX UniVerse systems.
(S An optional parameter that suppresses the "Are you sure prompt".

Cautions

Kourier application files should be resized periodically.  Failure to do so may affect the performance of your application.

Unless you specificy the CONCURRENT option, this command should not be executed when other uses are on the system since it uses the RESIZE command to reclaim the unused disk space associated with the file. 

Example 1

In this example, the Kourier net change log for the CUSTOMER file is resized.

>KT.RESIZE KT_EXPORTS

This program will resize one or all of the Kourier application files.

There are currently 10 users logged into the system. Doing file
maintenance with more than one active user may cause file corruption.
