Message Queue Management (kourier_queuedata_def.aspx)


Purpose

To display and manage message queue items that exist in a Kourier message queue. Messages that display on this page are here typically as the result of a an error encountered while a Kourier Service was trying to deliver the message to its location (target DSN). Items will remain in the queue until they are deleted by the user or processed successfully. Use this page to manually resend all displayed message queue items, or to delete or more of them.

Refer to the Kourier Services Guide for more information on the use of services to transfer data between applications. For more information on how Kourier performs the messaging, refer to the Kourier Messaging Guide.

Available Toolbar Commands

Click the Send All icon in the toolbar to re-send all of the messages displayed in the current queue. You do not need to select items using the checkbox in order to send the messages, all items will automatically be selected. After processing is complete you will remain on the page. Refresh your Web browser in a few moments to see if the items clear. Also, check the Event Log to see the status of the re-sent messages.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar to delete messages in the queue which have a checkmark next to them. You will be prompted with a "Are you sure you want to delete?" dialog. Clicking Yes will permanently delete the message items and then remain on the page. Click Cancel to return page without deleting any messages.

To Delete All messages in the queue--select all queue items by clicking on the Checkbox at the top of the checkbox display. This action cannot be cancelled. After the delete is complete you will remain on the page.

Prerequisites

A Data Source must be defined in order to process Message Queue items.

Cautions

Be careful when deleting message queue items. The data contained within the messages will be lost, which may result in data synchronization and net change issues.

Fields

Field Name Description - Usage - Notes

Delete checkbox. This is used to indicate the messages that you want to selectively delete using the Delete toolbar command. TIP: Click the checkbox at the top of the display to select all queue items, then you can delete all items quickly.
Message The system generated message number for the queue item.
Date The date the message queue item was generated.
Time The time the message queue item was generated.
Headers

The information shown in the Headers column displays basic information about the message queue item that will help you identify the item better, such as: export name, SQL table, net change flag, export mode, file location, the service name, number of exported records, number of exported row, and more.
