This page is used to define new database connections and to select which UniData/UniVerse database (i.e., account) will be the "Active Database". The active database determines which account on the U2 server your are currently working with to develop Data Export Specifications, Services, Schedules, etc. for your integration project.

Click the New icon in the toolbar to save the current connection and then clear the page making it ready for a new item. |

Click the Save icon in the toolbar to save the current connection definition and return to the connection listing. |

Click the Save As icon in the toolbar to save the current connection definition to a new name. You will be prompted to enter a new name. Click OK to save the connection to a new name and then continue editing the connection. Click Cancel to return to the existing connection without saving. |

Click the Delete icon in the toolbar to delete the current connection definition. You will be prompted with a "Are you sure you want to delete?" dialog. Clicking Yes will permanently delete the connection and then return to the connection listing. Click Cancel to return to the existing connection without deleting. |

Kourier Integrator must be properly installed in each UniData/UniVerse account before it can be displayed and selected as the active database. See the Kourier Integrator for U2 installation document for more information.

Name | Enter a user-defined name for this connection. |
Description | Enter a description for this connection. |
Server | The actual name of the server for which you want to make a database connection. |
Account | The actual name of the UniData/UniVerse account for which you want to establish a connection. |
Username | The username used to login to the account referenced above. |
Password | The password used to login to the account referenced above. |
Server Type | Select either UniVerse or UniData from the drop down list. |
